DIY shorts

Hey hey hey!!

There is something about Monday’s that I love… Or maybe it’s the hope that I will actually kickstart my week with goals and aspirations and actually completing them before the dawn of the weekend fever (that usually runs all week sadly) ,  then the cycle starts over again.  This time it will be different … (She says)

If you gnome (hah! Pun intended ) then you know of my love for all things short. I do love anything above that knee because they are the ultimate style picks for good tall girls , I mean who doesn’t love the peekaboo element ?

I was hoping for some summer sunshine because August!! But sadly the weather hasn’t been really on its best behavior , but then again what is weather ?? At a point in your life you just have to be brave, freeze and shine!

For this look, I was going for a laid back ,simple and casual feel. I actually made these shorts myself from an old pair of jeans ,and it’s pretty simple to do. All you need is a pair of scissors and tweezers then you cut of the shorts into rips of your choice and tweeze them up for the old tattered feel.

I really love the detail in the shorts, and I’m working on making these amazing rear-ripped shorts that are just the definition of life itself.

I went for this striped tee I got from H&M a while back because the best way to compliment your denim is with simple neutral colours like grey, nude, black and simple patterns. Okay let’s all stop and be in awe of these fwine fwine  legs ( I should prolly get them insured, don’t you think )

Enough about tooting my own horns now ! The perfect fit to a proper pair of shorts would be some good old sneakers of your choice & nothing screams comfort like these sneaks from New look, Love! Love!

For the hair, I went for this half up -half down do because it’s fun and simple to do and I wanted some focus on the look , so wearing my braids down would just be messy. Accessorise with a few Jewellery pieces and you’ll be good to go!

I hope you enjoyed this post, do stay tuned for more but most importantly stay safe!
Xx
Sincerely, Didi
