Hey hey hey! I am so glad October is coming to an end ,not that I am a Halloween enthusiast. I celebrated Halloween once last October, only because it was a kid’s party so there wasn’t much on scary costumes. Just cake. Lots of cake (and candy ofcourse)
What I enjoyed most was curving the pumpkin faces and lighting lanterns. That got me right up. This year, I will be engrossed in the twilight trio-logy series backed up with some late night popcorn and tea.
Of late, I have been open to trying out new things, so I took a break from my usual Sunday routine following reading endless fashion articles, food and writing and decided to go for a hike.
I usually go to the gym in the week because its a great way of release but nothing beats a nice morning cycle in the forest with your best friend and the sound of nature. I am in love with any other thing in those lines of nature.
An easy way to get those muscles toned without hitting the gym would be doing Cardio workouts and cycling is one of them. Work yourself out, get YOU right with your physical.
When you go out jogging or hiking, you have to look good doing it. So I went for a pair of black tights that are so comfy and you can dress them up or down depending on the occasion.
Do not go over the top with the outfit though. It has to be comfortable enough for you to be free and relaxed. I paired my black tights with this stripped tee and threw over this Over-sized shirt.
The shirt made a statement with its pop of colour and that was what I was going for. I wore these workout sneakers because they are so comfortable and are easy to pair.
When we first begun cycling, it was so easy and relaxing until the hard parts came where we had to climb hills and descend them. I must say, it was pretty demanding.
We went on in the spirits of Dora exploring every place we could see and that got us deep in the forest. I was so shocked when we saw the trails because we had covered 21 kilometers already and we still had to go back to the starting point.
Kenya has so many gorgeous spots to just get away and I am in the mood to explore every single bit and share my experiences here on the blog.
I am so proud of myself for having completed the whole journey without an injury because that was one heck of a cycle!
Always remember to carry water and sun screen during outdoor activities because mate! There’s no sad thing like thirst in scorching heat.
