MY BEAUTIFUL BLACKNESS.

Happy new year to all of you!!

This being my first blog post in 2017 I wanted to share some certain aspects of my blogging, fitness and general life journey.

Note to self. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. As i stand here today I can wake up and kick ass in my bikini because I am comfortable enough to do so.

Alot of people have this general notion of what bloggers are meant to be, how they are supposed to present themselves to their followers, what they can or cannot post BUT what they do not understand is that your personal blog is meant for empowering you , it is about expressing who you truly are and that the content you create is meant for yourself and to attract the people who want to be a part of your blogging journey.

Last year I started my fitness journey courtesy of my best friend who motivated me and pushed me everyday, even when I really did not want to go to the gym . (you lot should check out her fitness channel.)
She never let me give up and through working out, I was able to live a healthy lifestyle , balance my meals well , drink lots of water , relieve stress through weight lifting and it was pretty great. I took a short break but I sure as hell cannot wait to get back to the gym.

Most people used to ask me why I even lift weights because I am “a girl” but they really don’t know how amazing it can get especially when you discover you have the power and capability to build your body the way you want to. My main goal was being toned up and that meant getting firm and getting rid of unnecessary body fat. Yes I was “skinny” but that didn’t mean I was fit. I went to the gym because I enjoyed it and I wanted to achieve my results.

As we speak, I still have a long way to go because taking a break means loosing some touch but this year I really want to focus on me and bettering myself . I want this to motivate you. Challenge yourself! Go the extra mile, push yourself! Trust me you will fall in love with the results.

I also want to tell you that YOU need to be comfortable in your beautiful blackness! You are darn gorgeous and no one should bring you down. No one should have the power to overshadow your thoughts about deeming yourself worthy of something. YOU ALONE SHOULD MAKE THAT STATEMENT. MAKE YOURSELF HEARD. For all those who are afraid of doing something because of what people may say or thin, do it!! They will talk either way, might as well just give them something to talk about.

If you aren’t comfortable in your own skin, no one can respect you because you don’t deem yourself worthy and that’s just a major NO-NO. Wear that short dress that you like, opt for a casual pair of shorts, jump in the pool with your bikini!! Let no one allow you to second guess yourself.

I have worked on this blogging path for almost a year now, and yes it has been hectic but its something I’m really passionate about and I recently started my you tube channel as well and I’m planning on sharing more content on there and some day I know these nights of editing, thinking of creating content , typing and numerous shootings and whatnot will pay off soon.

Whatever it is that you love doing, do it! And make sure you learn from people’s mistakes, your own and do not for one second allow yourself to slow down or stop.

I know this was such a long post and there’s so much more I want to say, but that’s a story for another day. For my swim wear ,I went for this pink mono-kini that I am literally in love with from H&M .

When picking swim wear, dressing for your body type is everything. For the fuller curvier bodies, high waist bikinis that accentuate your torso are your go to.

For the smaller side babes then mono-kini’s with cut out sides are your go to, because they draw attention to your smaller waist and giving your hip area a boost.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I loved writing it, Do stay tuned for more and always remember to be you, be true, beautiful!
I can’t wait to share more content on the blog and on my you tube channel

Watch this space!!
xx

Sincerely, Didi
